Any plans for 08/09 Season?
« on: October 18, 2008, 07:04:34 PM »

We're planning to go to Sugarloaf Maine for a few days sometime this season, anyone ever been there?

Where is everyone planning on going riding this winter? :)

Im ready, me and my crew have our trips planned. We just have to fill in the dates and wait for the weather report.
1st, we're going to warm up with the usual Indiana Paoli/Perfect North setup probably until the end of January.
February brings our road trip Colorado to hit where ever we can find! bum around the state and hit as many resorts as possible.
come home after the 2 weeks in 'rado to save relax and booze it up. We'll be sleeping in the SUV to save money haha.
Then its off to Jackson Hole to get some insanity. Jackson Hole is heaven. Dont know why.
March and April will be a few trips to a few cities like Chicago for street riding. But this could change to any time they get
a huge dump of snow. Even Louisville Ky is an option due to the insane skatepark there.

But to finish off the season with perfection, spring break at Whistler.
(we're shooting a vid so we're going to use alot of easy to get to destinations that we have lots of friends at)

I know we're going to Vermont. I just dont know when.

And yes, its going to cost a fortune, so we've saved all year long!

btw Frosty, you'll have to meet us in Whistler! And anyone who will be in the area.

That does sound sweet, I would love to spend a few months hittin up resorts all over the country...maybe during better economic times...

But I'll be heading to Salt Lake for a week in January, then a weekend in Tahoe with a whole bunch of friends in a cabin.

Other than that, just trying to head up to tahoe as often as possible.
If riding is wrong, then I dont wanna be right!

thanks, i hope it is going to rock. being almost dormant all summer long and hardly doing anything
really let me save up a huge bank account for doing all of this.

and the economy does suck, i know i should save it and stay home...but i gave up almost 6 months
of my life to save for this winter. and i can use the footage as a project for school and my resume
which i really need.

josh, where are you riding at?

Hey all
Scotland calling!!! We've had a great start to the season with The Lecht (Cairngorms) open as early as 31st October (that's really early for us!). I'm off to Les Arcs (France) for Christmas. No presents for me, just snow and slopes......

I would love to be able to go snowboarding in Europe.  Are lift tickets expensive? Post pics if you have them!  :)

Me too!  I can imagine myself racing down the French and Swiss Alps...its enough to make we wanna book a flight now!

But considering the exchange rate right now, everything in euros is already gonna cost almost double what it costs in dollars...  :(

You're better off going to Whistler, exchange rate is nearly the same...that's another resorts that on my dream list

Hope you have a great trip. I would love to go anywhere where you can ride in open snowfields above the treeline.  I've never done that before.  :)

The Alps are truly awesome.  I got to go to Davos and St Moritz (both in CH) a few years back.  It was sweet :)

It was amazing. It even snowed on Christmas day. There's loads of off piste at Les Arcs, brilliant! We stayed in a beautiful chalet with a host and he even cooked Christmas dinner for us! I think we're definately going to go to France again (prob next year as £ is really weak at the moment). I'm praying for more snow in Scotland now so that I can take flex days from work and do something fun!!!

That sounds like a dream holiday!  Do you normally get a lot of snow where you are in Scotland?
