I'm up for that! I'll probably stay around N. Carolina until I get good enough to actually consider it worthwhile to spend some money on a good trip.  The last time I went, I rode for 2 days, full  day sessions and was exhausted  at the end of it lol. I assume it's all the falling down and getting back up that did it lol. Everybody told be that the most common injuries come from fatigue so I chickened out on going another day. What's an average amount of time spent riding by you guys?

so they're not gonna plant it at lake lanier? sorry i get board reading long articals.
man, i remember how crappy lake lanier was compared to white water.
gatlinburg would seriously benefit from an indoor place. all they have to do is build
a hanger down the mountain. the terrain is perfect. ive walked countless trails at
gatlinburg and dreamed of riding them. but anywhere in the east would be awesome rah!

hey an east coast get together would rock! we could all rock sugar mountain or something.
i have some filming equipment, we could put a piece together.

i get really stiff after the 1st day of the season. i kinda have to work into it. but ive gotten
so bad from falling or running into people (that cut me off last second at the base of
the mountain..totally not my fault) that i couldnt move the next day. but as far as serioius
injuries, rails always kill me once a year. usually a pulled muscle. if i break anything
its usually due to ice on the landing ramp. eh. kinda comes with snowboarding though.

my average riding time for weekends is 4-8-8 if i get the 3 day, if its a 1 or 2 day i go 6 - 6
with lots of breaks for beer and hotdogs. ahha.

I couldn't read the whole thing either lol. I kinda speed-read it, Lanier wouldn't let them build over 15 stories high due to county regulations. I personally don't see why they don't go up to extreme north GA and take advantage of the already mountainous landscape rather than try to build a gigantic ramp on flat ground. GA actually had a ski resort ( http://slopequest.com/slopes/GA/Sky%20Valley%20Resort.html ) in Sky Valley, which was probably kinda lame but would still seem to be more cost effective to enclose rather than start from scratch in the middle of the flatlands. Dawson may actually be pretty hilly considering how far up north it is, who knows. They made a great point though, there's millions of people in the metro Atlanta area, and we don't get much snow, if any honestly, so a resort like that would be a cash cow for a few brave investors, the first one in the country is supposed to be in New Jersey, then North Carolina, so maybe it will only be a matter of time. I'm just glad that the sport is gaining so much momentum.
