Camber
« on: December 16, 2011, 11:27:14 AM »
Camber – Camber refers to the bend of the board when laid flat where tip and tail touch the ground and the center arches up.  It is the traditional shape for skis and snowboards as opposed to the newer "rocker" or "reverse camber" boards.  The Burton Custom is a good example of a traditional camber board .  Camber increases control on groomed runs, slalom gates, boardercross, and ice/hardpack.
