What board should I get?
« on: February 10, 2008, 03:00:22 AM »
So I just started boarding again and I realize my board is way pass it prime and its time to get a new one.....I use cartel bindings, I'm a 8.5 in mens, and I love carving down the mountain at 100mph as well as hitting the park .....but I don't plan on hitting the super pipe anytime soon. As far as price I don't want to break the bank but I want to get bang for my buck...something Top of the line thats going to last for 5yrs or so

I have a Burton Custom.  Great all-around performing board.  What's the difference between a Burton Custom and Custom-X?  The Custom-X is basically a Custom that is a little slicker (dragonfly core as opposed to the Super Fly core in the regular Custom) and a lighter topsheet.  So the Custom X is a little lighter and snappier than its bro the Custom, but there really is not much noticeable difference at all.

I have never ridden the T6, but I hear they are sweat rides.  It has the Alumafly (aluminum honeycomb) core which is supposed to be really lightweight and snappy.  I just cannot afford $800 for a board!
