(board, boots and bindings) and one last thing i been looking through http://www.the-house.com/ is that a good place to shop? any help would be appreciated 😀

Welcome to the forums.  The_House is an awesome place to get boards and all the gear.  I highly recommend them.As for recommending a board for you, first try out the snowboard size calculator here and see the recommended boards it gives you.  See what interests you there then post here and we can give you opinions from there.  OK?

The_House is a great place. http://www.proboardshop.com is their sister site. they're from the exact same place, but for some reason they sell different things sometimes. same price though. and their customer serviceis 2nd to none. they always take care of me when i call.the size calculator is pretty accurate. i wouldnt ride anything further than 1 size up or down from therecommendation. (as you know it gives you a group of sizes)as far as packages, it really doesnt matter. sometimes they're great and sometimes frankenstein boardswork best. it all depends on you and what you like.

^^^^What they said^^^^ 🙂    Also tho, with the packages and stuff its also about how much $$$ you can spend.  You might wanna be careful of the uber cheap packages, but some of the packages are actually prolly good dealss.  I got my snowboard from the house-theyre good.  btw Dogfunk.com is good as well (prolly more $$$ in general tho….)

i forgot to put this in my last post but if you do a package, try to get one without boots.i dont think this has really been stressed on this site enough, but you really reallyneed comfy boots that fit correctly. not to say you need $400 dc boots, but try a bunchof different brands and find one that fits, works, and matches. my 1st set up hadterrible boots and i had to take brakes often because the arches of my feet hurt, and they were bottom priced dc's (trying to say dont buy into a brand just for the name..which is funny for me running almost all forum).i rented some rossignols or however its spelled from a resort last season that werereally comfortable, but i couldnt find them on the market. you spent alot more timein the boots than you do on the board so it just makes sense to invest more in thisdepartment.and being you're a newbie (no offense, welcome to the be
