Hi my name is Charley. I am going to go snowboarding for Spring Break at Keystone in Colorado with some friends form high school. I have never been snowboarding--like on a real mountain with chair lifts and everything. But we get a coupple of snows here in arkansas each winter and I have gone down hills on the little plastic snowboards. I am great when it comes to balance. I used to skateboard, and I Wakeboard all the time. The 1st time I ever tried I got up on a wakeboard, so I would say that balance should not be a problem for me. I also used to ski as a kid, and I am confident in getting in and out of the chair lifts + i have been reading about how to do it on a snowboard. What my question is------What are the most imporntant things I should know for my first time out? Do you steer by lening or by your front foot, or back? Or a combination of all? Whats the trick to stopping, accelerating, carving, etc. I guess I just dont want to look like a retard when i go. So any tips would be greatly appriceated. Thanks. Charley
