Hey Frosty,
First off, i'd just like to say that this is my first year snowboarding, and I'm HOOKED!! I just can't get enough of it!!! I've gone every two weeks since February and plan go every weekend until the season is over. I just wish I lived closer to the slopes

but I guess four hours away is not so bad, especially when you can take a ski bus...
Now, just FYI, I've never actually taken a formal lesson; what i've learned i picked up from a buddy who I always go with and helps me out or from websites like yours (thanks for all the good tips by the way). I think that I've made good progress so far; I can do toe/heel side turns fine, get reasonable speed down the slopes, even got carving down. The only problem I have is with control while carving on the blue slopes.
On the green slopes i can carve no problem, but on the harder, steeper slopes it gets tricky for me. I'm goofy footed, and when I start to carve toeside I think I try to edge too much and my tip ends up pointing uphill so I can't complete the carve. Is it better control the amount of edging with my back foot or front foot? Other times I do get the carve, but I catch an edge while evening out between the toe and heelside turns and l fall. Do you have any advice for controlling that? Should I go faster or make my turns wider?
Also, this may seem like a stupid question but I've been wondering...when does the snowboarding season formally end? I know it probably depends on the amount of snow on any given year, but do the resorts announce it each year or do they have a set date every year when it ends?
Thanks for your help.
