Shaun White Snowboarding (XBox 360)

Has anyone gotten this game, or is planning to get it? My son is after me to buy it.  Do you guys think its going to be worth the hype?

i bought it for the ps2 and everything the commercial said it was is a BOLD FACE LIE.
atleast for the playstation 2 version. so i dont know if i trust the other versions or not.

im really angry about this. i wanted to get the game because of all the extra stuff like
being able to ride all different brands of boards and parks and snowball fights.

the ps2 version doesnt even have burton boards, or atleast it doesnt look like it.
im basically playing espn's pro boarder as a re release but atleast with that game
you could play as terje!

i dont even like shaun white, now i feel like he's lied to me

Thanks for the information, that's good to know.  I'm going to definitely hold off on buying and rent first...all the hype of this game"blowing all other games out of the water" that the ads are saying was making me suspicious. 

I don't know why theres so much hype with Shaun White anyways he sort of gives me the creeps haha

bah he ruined the x-games now he's ruining snowboarding video games!
haha ok that might be pushing it a bit.
but i did honestly expect there to be a 1080 button instead of a series of commands
you had to hit to land it.

if the xbox 360 version is what the commercials makes it out to be then it should be fun!
the version i have isnt bad, its just not what it said it was going to be. though i did just
land 13 japan air's in 1 jump

haha maybe after you play the game more you'll grow to like it better....i'll let you know how the XBox version is after we rent it this week

so...rented the xbox version today.  I would say its ok, just ok.  Not great but not terrible.  We have "skate" for xbox and this game doesn't come close to how good skate is.  Im not a hard core gamer or anything, but imo this game's just average.  Also, some of the songs really suck!!

the only song i like is the goldfinger one. thats kinda a snowboard song.
the rest are horrible. 70's disco and pop music. geez.
i mean c'mon, snowboarders, minus shaun white, listen to hiphop and underground
hardcore/punk stuff.

glad im not the only person that thinks this was a let down. it had so much
potential. they should let travis rice make the game. or terje. peter lines
and shawn palmers were decent for their day!

I'm pretty sure I heard Loverboy's "workin for the weekend" come up, I had to leave the room at that point.  I think that was right after a Heart song finished playing. 
I found some other reviews online that werent all positive either. 

I wuz thinking I way overpost on here also.    glad its not just me.  I have the worlds slowest dialup so if you look at how much time I spend on this site its like, days.  I'm sure it will take 15 minutes for me just to get this reply back up.

holy crap! well... you're not missing anything. the only thing cable is good for is youtube and limewire.
and right now both are sucking pretty hardcore hahaah.

Awww that sucks.  I havent played it yet but its wack cuz I thought maybe that game would be like pretty good but if it cant compare to skate that sucks. 
And itll be even worse on PS3 cuzza framerate
I mighht ask for it anyway tho for christmas since there aint really nothin else sides the new cod specially since the new NFS is a fail.   UUUGGGGGHH.
I still need to  get frikken warhawk tho
