Good advice, some.  Also, think about it a lot before you go and do it.  Step off your board and walk around the rail and look at different angles.  Then when you go to do it go full on into the slide.  You MUST commit.  If you half-ass it you will crash.  If you do not feel like you can do it then go to something smaller first and work up your confidence to the bigger stuff.

If you take pictures, send them this way so we can post them up in the photo gallery.  Try to get some of you doing a boardslide too!

Have a great time and stay safe.

Dang, that would have been sweet.  Oh well, try to get some pics next time!
Yeh, landing switch off a boardslide can be tricky.  While finishing the slide, try to have your hands already in the position your feet will be in when you land.  Then when you hop off, your feet will come around to match up.

da@#, I would have, but I didn't bring a Camera with me. I am starting to get the board slide slowly, I just have to work on landing switch.

Remember landing switch is just the same as landing regular. What that tells me is that you have not spent enough time RIDING switch before trying to land switch The only difference landing switch should be that you are looking over your shoulder instead of straight down at your feet, but then you shouldn't have your eyes on your feet to begin with. You should spot your landing and then where you are going next (down the hill).

Remember also to land on your edge and not flat, and carve out of the landing. This will give you some grace if you land short or if you go long. Knees bent, butt back, back straight and push through... it will come naturally to you (as does riding a bicycle).

Good luck to you and glad to hear of your progress!
