The Biggest Snowboard Competitions - What Are They?

     The snowboard craze that hit young people especially in countries that   have a lot of snow is far from disappearing. With thousands of young men   and women involved in this extreme winter sports, numerous competitions   are held every year in different parts of the world.

 The first   snowboard race was in 1982, including the suicide of six, on the   outskirts of Woodstock in Vermont. Everything was simple then and the   participants only had on board a strong and cold. However, it was not   until the 1998 Winter Olympics in Nagano, Japan, when snowboarding   captured international attention.

X Games

 The X Games   are an annual event that cater to lovers of extreme sports. Winter X   Games are the new events that focus on extreme sports like skiing and   snowboarding snowy mountain made great lots. Sponsored by ESPN, the   regular venue of this event is in Aspen, Colorado. For the first time   and experienced snowboarders have the opportunity to demonstrate their   skills and tricks here.

U.S. Open

 U.S. Open snowboard   events are held each year, usually at the end of the winter season. For   over two decades, the games begin in March with the winner receiving $   25,000 for the award.

The Olympic Games

 So far, the   Olympics are six snowboard events. It is men's halfpipe, ladies'   halfpipe, parallel giant slalom, parallel giant slalom of the men and   men of women's snowboard cross and snowboard cross women. Although no   cash prize is at stake, an Olympic medal for most athletes and is a   reward worth treasuring for the rest of their lives.

Burton New Zealand Open

Burton   Open is the premier event of New Zealand snowboarding in the winter. It   has been held annually since 2003 in Lake Wanaka. The New Zealand Open   is the first of the series Open, then Burton takes place in Australia,   Japan, Europe and the U.S. This event gives Kiwis a chance to compete   with some of the best drivers in the world.

Steven's Pass Snowboard World Championships

   Steven Pass in Washington, DC is known for its world class and varied   terrain in two different mountains. Your site only covers 1125 hectares,   while there are about 37 races. On the western edge of the city is a   huge park, while for runners who would like to get a little sun may be   mounted in Mill Valley or return the call. The skiing and snowboarding   is jampacked on weekends and school holidays, those who want to go there   must be booked in advance. Accommodation is not available there,   however, but would like to stay overnight can book rooms at the nearby   Skykomish and Leavenworth.

Revolution Tour

 The Chevy   Revolution Tour is a series of competition for snowboarders launched in   2005. Designed to help young drivers move to the elite competition, this   event is the brainchild of U.S. Snowboard. The 2008 competition took   place from January to March and were held in various areas such as   Minnesota, Colorado, Utah, Oregon and Philadelphia. Highlights were   snowboardcross, halfpipe and slopestyle.

Enter The Dragon

   This presents annual slopestyle competition and snowboard superpipe   events with great prizes at stake. Open to all ages, this competition   welcomes young and old users who want to participate in a fun and   relaxed atmosphere.

FIS World Cup Circuit

 This is the   best for professional snowboarders from around the world. The European   countries of Italy, Austria, Slovenia and the Netherlands hosted the   2006 series, while more countries joined in 2007 during the event, such   as Switzerland, Russia, Japan, Korea and Quebec in Canada.
