Confused..
« on: October 21, 2008, 11:08:10 PM »
I asked like this same question basically like last year lol but i still dont get what to wear or wat ppl wear under the outer layer lol.  So say i wear like a hot chilli base or we would u just throw like a hoodie over that and then a jacket?  Would a t shirt be enough.  Or nothing? hMore importantly is the pants- would you guys like wear the hot chillis and then go straight to the outer layer or should there be something in between? If so what?

I say always opt for a nice base layer like hot chilies.  Other than that it depends on the conditions and the person.  Take a duffel full of gear to the mountain and stand outside in teh parking lot for a while and decide then  Just a suggestion.

I agree with Frosty.

Personally, I usually just wear underarmour underneath my snow pants.  My bottom half tends to stay warm so I'm usually ok with just that.

Above the waist, I'll wear underarmour and the SB jacket, but on really cold days, I'll wear a fleece sweater on top of the underarmour.  And on hot days I'l just wear the underamour.

I also do what Frosty advises, I take a whole bunch of stuff with me since conditions change all the time.
If riding is wrong, then I dont wanna be right!

on the dead cold days, pj bottoms (everyone has pj's...parents are good about givin em for christmas
when you want a wii) plus snowboard pants. if its colder, ill wear khaki skate pants.

top layer, start with a wife beater and a t-shirt on warm days, 30-40
20-30, add a hanes tshirt to the mix under my skate tshirt
10-20 add a sweater over my tshirt,
-10 to 10, drop my normal snowboard jacket for my arctic snowboard jacket and loose the
sweater.
