Paoli Peaks open house jib jam!
« on: November 09, 2008, 01:38:28 AM »
Tomorrow Paoli Peaks my home resort is throwing an open house, car show,
bbq, pre-season sales, and open rail jam!

Im scouting my aim right now to find someone to go with me, but i definatly plan
on entering this one. Wouldnt that be rad? Lower east coast and I'll already have
a comp under my belt before most peoples opening day ;)

Didnt go well because when we woke up we found it out was raining there. So we didnt go. I doubt they
had snow because of the rain. They were just making snow for a very small patch of land in the parking lot.
Sucky thing is, we all woke up and got tuned up, coffeed up, checked the weather at starbucks, then
went back home.

I'm gonna check the site to see if they did it. If it was rained out, it'll be next weekend probably. :)
But 3 hours is a bit of a far drive on a chance, especially at louisville, ky, which is pretty boring.

well, that does kinda suck.  i don't blame you for not wanting to drive that far just to have it rained out.  Hopefully they rescheduled and youll have another chance to compete!

Bummer but you got to hand it to them for trying so early in the season.  It will NEVER happen if you NEVER AT LEAST TRY!

Tell me about it! Last year it was really really warm and they did it. I want to say it was mid 70's,
but they got away with it because it was only 25 the night before. Its never ALOT of snow, just
enough for a run up and a landing. From what I've heard they still had the show, just didnt
do the jam, or atleast i cant find any video of it. So maybe next year. But they'll have an opening
season rail jam and big air contest a week after they open so thats something to look forward
to!
